A blog

Gosh, it's been a while since I posted anything here. I was still in the Phili's when I last wrote. I did say though that it would probably be a while before I could process everything from the trip.
It's been a combination of that and moving to a new city, into a new flat and starting a new job, that shunted blogging to the bottom of my list of things to do.

I've been in H-Town for a little over 4 weeks now, if you count the couple of days I was here moving and things. That means I've been back from the Philippines for about 6 weeks now. I just hate the way it all feels like a dream so soon after coming back home.

I think our team emails from the trip sum up so many of the things we did and saw so well that I really don't have too much more to add.
I did love the Philippines. The people, the pace of life, the hustle and bustle of Manila and the beauty of the country side, the food. It didn't feel really weird being there. I just got on with it. Once you get over the initial shock it was so much fun.
Fun, hmm. Not sure if that's really the right sort of word to use.
Anyways, the emails talk all about what we got up to.
Here are a few pics...

I left with a feeling of respect for the people of the Philippines. The Christians there are so involved with reaching out to the needy and sharing Christ. We were put to shame in many ways. New Zealand is such a selfish, self involved country. It's sad. It'd be so good for everyone in the west to spend a day in the shoes of someone in a third world country.

My eyes are beginning to blur....
