Friday night playing pin the nose on Holly! We had party games to celebrate her turning 16!!

There were auditions for NZ's Next Top Model when we were down on the beach on Saturday!

Can anyone tell me what these are? My first thought was fejoas and I knew Dave would be stoked with that :) But now I'm not sure. Maybe avocados? The tree is growing on the side of the road just around the corner from our house.

45 - Noisey Trees

We back onto a gully type thing at our new place and behind that, over the road are all these trees. I swear these trees are filled with a million cicadas. It's after 9 now and I can still hear them going crazy.
The sun was streaming through the trees tonight and it looked cool. The photo doesn't really do it justice. I need to think about a picture earlier in the day I've decided. Otherwise I might end up with a lot of sunset shots!

I know this is a really random picture but I was so impressed or surprised at how nice this building looks. It's the new addition to the prison in Mt Eden. It is built so close to the motorway. I was sitting in traffic when I snapped this.

Day 41 - I'm lovin it

Quick bite to eat before Dave flys back down South for a couple of weeks. Cool clouds.

40 - Bed

Sooooo loving being back in my own bed. Almost finished quilt is on my bed now too - just need to snip the seams to get the frayed look.

Loving the fact we have a dining table in our new flat!
There's something special about sitting around a table for a meal. Such a great place to share and connect with friends and family. Looking forward to some good times here.

38 - Goodbye Oksana

We've loved having Oksana with us for the last 6 months. She's leaving tomorrow to head home to Germany so we had dinner at the McIvor's last night. Oksana made some delish food! A massive bowl of BBQ'd seafood, antipasto salad and these yum cherry turnover things!

A friend told me about his decision to re-commit his life to Christ over the weekend. He said it was a 'stake in the gound' moment, a point that he could look back on. His words inspired this shot.

 Day 31 - I think this was taken pretty close to midnight, if not afterwards on Sunday night. My day 31 pic got deleted. Tiredness has set in at the end of Sunday.
